Naked and Famous are our newest RAW denim on shelf. They have a nice simple look, with naked back pockets, and stellar stitching holding the denim together. According to their site:
“Naked & Famous Denim uses only the most unique and rare denim fabrics from Japan. The prestigious mill in Japan, from which we import all our fabric, is committed to producing only the best (and most expensive) denim in the world. Throughout each step in denim production (weaving, dyeing, finishing…) the mill uses a combination of old school and modern methods and practices. So much culture and history is poured into the fabric so that it can be appreciated by the denim purist.”
You can find more info on the denim here: TNAFD
Nudies are the veterans in the game of RAW denim, which give them more experience points. They both use Raw Japanese denim, and both label their fits with unique names. Naked and famous have 2 fits: Weird Guy and Skinny Guy. Nudies have several fits like, Slim Jim, Average Joe, and Grim Tim.

“THE NAKED TRUTH ABOUT DENIM
WE LOVE JEANS, a passion we share with anyone who mourns a worn-out pair like the passing of a close friend. No fabric ages quite as beautifully as denim; the longer you wear your jeans, the more character and attitude they acquire. You shape them with your lifestyle, and they become like a second skin.
Jeans share the same soul and attitude found in the rock’n'roll scene – they’re both part of the same culture.
Nudie Jeans will always stay true to jeans. We’re not looking for fly-by-night fads; our inspiration is found far from the world of glamor and catwalks.
We don’t just offer jeans. We offer a way of thinking, a concept, and an undying passion, fuelled by the traditions of denim and the characteristics of the fabric itself. “
In my opinion, both denims are really nice, and personally I can't choose just one. I guess it just depends on your mood. If I'm going for more of a street look, then Naked and Famous is a perfect fit, but I can say the same for Nudies. Sorry to confuse ya'll, but let us know what y'all think!
